Eco Kids is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise based in Northampton. We write and deliver projects with environmental themes locally & nationally. Some examples of the services Eco Kids provide and activities we are currently involved with include:
Love Food Hate Waste
According to WRAP the average family could save up to £680 each year by tacking food waste. Eco Kids work in partnership with Love Food Hate Waste to help families develop good eating habits with leftover food.
Improve nutrition for families on a budget
Our sessions show families on the lowest of incomes how to eat well maximising on nutrition. We work with families considering individual tastes & specific dietary requirements. Contact us if you have any questions…
Grow your own
With ever increasing food prices we want to enable families to have the option to grow some of their own food. We can provide growing solutions for all families even if you don’t have a garden.
Eco Kids can support you in developing your local school or community garden within Northampton – why not get in touch
Crop for the Shop
In collaboration with Big Barn CIC, Eco Kids have delivered an Enterprise program enabling schools to grow and sell their own produce – there are some cool videos about some of our work with children here

We work to address nature deficit by raising awareness of the health benefits of outdoor activity. Nature deficit disorder refers to a hypothesis by Richard Louv in his 2005 book “Last Child in the Woods” that children are spending less time outdoors resulting in a wide range of behavioural problems.
Eco Kids are actively involved in getting more children involved in outdoor activity. We were involved in forming the recommendations for the London Sustainability Commission report “Sowing the Seeds” – Reconnecting London’s Children With Nature.
